That little voice in your head……yes we all have it! Cartoons have made light of it by illustrating them as the “devil” and the “angel”. I have started a new little practice which seemed really odd at first but a week into it and its starting to make a little sense…..
Now we all know that human emotion cannot be turned on and off like a light switch? Or can it? Capturing the right mindset may dwell on us for a short period of time, however to master it even if at all, takes practice such as EVERYTHING in life. We get better at stuff when we get our bodies and minds to perform the same again and again and positive thinking is no different! At the start it sometimes feels wacky and “out there” but why not try it?
Spend a couple of minutes a day, in the bathroom mirror, going into a quiet place, even when you are working out, and say to yourself a little positive phrase: e.g.
I am happy with what I have and not with what I want
I am a great human being!
Doesn’t matter what it is as long as its meaningful and positive!
